Get Connected This Fall!

Get Connected This Fall 1

What just happened? One day in March everything was "normal”, and within 24 hours "normal" disappeared!

2020 has been a rough year for most of us. Our jobs, relationships, schedules and events have all been upended. Things we took for granted like getting together for church, friendship, or fun have been limited or non-existent. Our faith has been tested and our assumptions turned upside down, and the year is not yet over!

As all of us struggle to navigate life, we want you to know that we have been praying and asking God how we can come alongside you. In this ministry season, we want to be able to offer you something healing, satisfying, and empowering. It appears we are asking a lot, but God says He will give us exceedingly abundantly all that we could ever ask or think, if only we trust Him (Ephesians 3:20).

With this in mind, we have decided to take Him up on His promise.

Walking by faith, we have carefully, prayerfully, and thoughtfully made our plans- the result being a different look for ministry and connection. It could be difficult, uncomfortable, and not "normal”. Instead of throwing up your hands in frustration or despair, we only ask that you give God an opportunity to see what He can do in your life during these unprecedented times in the most unusual ways. His purposes for you are unstoppable; His love unfathomable! Corona is not king... Jesus is LORD of all!

Join us in this faith journey. Our prayer is that God will make a way for you to connect and grow in surprising, beautiful ways. We are very excited to hear how God has been at work when this is finally "over". We know it will be AMAZING grace!

Be encouraged,

Judy for the Women's Ministry team

Fall Events And Studies

Upcoming Appleton Alliance Church women’s studies and fall 2020 events

The Gospel of Luke:  Seeking the Lost

Do you feel lost in this environment? Well, Jesus came to SEEK THE LOST. Come and be found! During a season of uncertainty, there is nothing more comforting than studying the life and ministry of Jesus.

Since life is a bit hectic right now, we have planned flexible learning time. We will study the book of Luke directly from the Bible with reflection questions and optional opportunities to dig deeper. There are five days of planned personal study that should range from 15 to 30 minutes each. The average will be about 20 minutes. Do as much or as little as you can.

Boundaries:  When to Say Yes, How to Say No to Take Control of Your Life

People often focus so much on being loving and giving that they forget their own limits. Have you ever found yourself wondering: Can I say no and still be a loving person? How do I answer someone who wants my time, love, energy or money? How do I stand up to hurtful behavior or abuse? Why do I feel guilty when I consider setting boundaries?

In this award-winning New York Times bestselling book, Drs. Henry Cloud and John Townsend give you biblically based answers to these and other tough questions. They show you how to set healthy boundaries with your parents, spouse, children, friends, coworkers, social media, and even yourself.

Unpacking the ten laws of boundaries, Drs. Cloud and Townsend show you how to bring new happiness and healthy to your relationships. You’ll discover firsthand how sound boundaries give you the freedom to walk as the loving, giving, fulfilled individual God created you to be.” – from Boundaries
