Grow, Learn, and Let Go: How Parenting Exposes Our Need for Faith

Desiring God Source

This week our women's team wanted to share a post from one of our favorite Christian blog sources, Desiring God.  In this post, Michele Morin shares her own experiences with parenting and her desire to be putting Christ on display through how she loves her children.  Check out a snippet below, and see the whole article here.

Grow, Learn, and Let Go: How Parenting Exposes Our Need for Faith by Michele Morin

"Parenting does that. Like nothing else in my following life, mothering has taken me to the edge of what I know for sure about God and how to follow him well. Parenting has continually exposed my need for stronger faith. Even in the comparatively tame experience of raising four healthy sons, plagued only by passing afflictions and the odd eternal flu season, I have found myself pushed to the chasm between belief and unbelief on a fairly regular basis. Do I believe Jesus can rescue my children? Do I trust him to work redemptively in their hearts?

I want to."

Judy loves being a wife, a mom, and grandmother. She is also one of those people who like cold pizza for breakfast.

But this is something she really wants you to know about her — she loves being involved with Women's Ministries at Appleton Alliance Church. It allows her to have a front row seat into how God is at work in lives of women. There are amazing women at Appleton Alliance Church and she can't wait for you to meet some of them. Judy’s goal for this blog is that you will not only appreciate hearing about these women, but you will also come to see yourself as part of this amazing faith community of women as well.
